I bought the Prism skimmer for my 50 gal, will that be enough? It says its good up to 90 gal.
Cheers!

Im asking this because I see all those other threads with killer skimmers...
But in the book I am reading (reef secrets), they say to be carefull and not over skim your tanks.
Since I have a small system should I stay with a small skimmer and be carefull not to over skim?

It depends on what you're going to put into the tank. the Prism is frequently used for Nano tank so if you plan on having many fish you may find it's not enough.
I don't have one, but I've read pretty mixed reviews on them. I think the fairest is "they're okay but... "
Cheers!

Im not really looking at adding too many fishes, a pair of anemone fish and maybe some gobies.

maybe your better off going with a Remora Pro Skimmer. I think that would suite a 50 gallon better than a Prism?

I ran one of these on my 46gal Bow Front, it did an alright job. There are better out there, but the price is right on the Prizm!

I've used 2 prisms in my day and i hate them, they didn't work at all compared to any of the other skimmers i used,

Thanks guys, I appreciate your advices and experiences. Since I already bought it a week ago, I will run it and see if it does the job for my tank and go from there.
Thanks again for your inputs!
