Diatom Filter Making Bubbles

aNYBODY OUT THERE EVER USED A DIATOM XL?Just wondering if its normal that it shoots out micro bubbles in the aqaurium.my filter is new and it does that.

Check for an air leak at your top seal and at all your connections. also check to see if when you primed it if you got a air bubble trapped in the top of the bottle.

Thanks rob!!but i already checked that and i put clamps around the the hose to make sure everything is thight.DOes yours make any bubble at all rob?

I don't have one any more but I do know that these bottle filters are notorious for leaking at the top seal. Do they still use the 2 part elbows that go over the top of the tanks rim? If so switch them out for one piece u tube. If it's not the seals then try tilting the bottle in a few different directions while it's running so any air trapped in the top will be sucked out all at once instead of over the whole filtering process.
